FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Check-in is from 2:00 p.m. and check-out is at 12:00 noon. If you're arriving on an overnight flight or leaving on a late one, write to us before you travel — we'll tell you honestly whether the room can be ready early. Either way, your luggage stays safely with us and you're welcome to use the lounge before or after your stay.
Yes — reception is staffed around the clock, every day of the year. This matters more in Quito than in most cities: flights from North America and Europe land at Mariscal Sucre airport (UIO) late at night, and the drive into the city takes 45 to 60 minutes. Whatever time you arrive, someone will be at the door.
Casa Aliso is in La Floresta, a residential neighbourhood one block from the Spanish Embassy and minutes from the United States ambassador's residence — which means a permanent security presence on these streets. The main streets are comfortable to walk in the evening. As in any capital city, we'd suggest staying aware of your surroundings and taking a taxi late at night rather than walking. Ask us and we'll call one.
We serve breakfast every morning. We don't run lunch or dinner service. In the afternoon and evening the dining room is open for a coffee, a tea or a glass of wine by the fireplace. For dinner, La Floresta has the highest concentration of good restaurants in Quito, most within a ten-minute walk nand we'll tell you what's actually open tonight and book the table.
